Understanding how to get your medical marijuana card “Registry ID Card” can be a little confusing. We’re here to make it easier.
Step 1: Get certified for a card.
You must get a certification from a credentialed medical cannabis practitioner to apply for a card. To do that, you must have one of the qualifying conditions for a medical card in Mississippi. See our list of MSDH approved medical cannabis practitioners here.
Step 2: Apply for your Registry ID Card with the MSDH.
You may apply for your medical cannabis card here through MSDH MMCP. Once you apply, you’ll pay for your card. You can see the prices here. Cards will be free for Disabled Veterans and only $15 for Medicaid patients. The normal fee is only $25. If approved you will receive a card within 10 working days via your patient portal. Remember your email and password.
Qualifying for medical cannabis in MS requires specific medical conditions and certain steps. Here are the basics:
If you believe you have an illness eligible for medical marijuana in Mississippi, you must get a certification from a credentialed and approved MSDH medical cannabis practitioner to apply for a “Registry ID Card”.
